Pajama party time!!
Can you believe it’s March already!? This was the BEST February I’ve had since I moved to Canada sixteen years ago (yikes!) because unlike the past years I was able to spend my Birthday outdoors! Yay me!
But I’m gearing up to hibernate for March because a) I have work to catch up on and b)Underground returns!! And to do that, I need me a good comfy pair of pajamas!
And the award for Best Dressed at the 2017 Oscars goes to…
Queen Viola Davis
(Me:*singing * “all I do is win, win, win no matter what!”)
Let me tell you that when her name was called, the tears overfloweth. I was legit bawling. I haven’t even seen Fences yet but just knowing how hard this woman works, how she embodies her characters and her passion for storytelling is enough for me to say give her the damn Oscar!
Black History Month (Canadian Edition) is here!
February spells two things: my birthday (woohooo!!) and Black History Month! (Power To The People!)
A number of years ago (when I was trying my hand at being a journalist), a few friends and I put together a documentary on African-Canadian history for a conference. It was a fun project and not having grown up in Canada, I learned so much about the contributions of African Canadians to this society.
And the award for the Best Dressed (and speech) at the 2017 SAG Awards goes to…
My girl, Taraji P. Henson who stole the show with this Reem Acra gown. Whew. Breathtaking.
I finally went to see Hidden Figures this past weekend and it was just so fitting that this movie came out on top at the SAGs. It deserves all the accolades it is getting. Those women’s names deserve to be known and this story is way past due.
Kenzoxhm is dropping tomorrow and I am not ready!
So…granted I have been ridiculously exhausted such that the latest H&M and designer collaboration crept up on me wayy faster than I realized.
Kenzo is a brand that is full of life and if you’re all about expressing yourself and standing out, this the brand for you.
The Best of Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017
Guys, I’ve been super swamped but I could not let Paris Fashion Week pass by and not to do run down of my favourite designers.
Forget Milan! Paris is where it was at!!
