The Givenchy Antigona Bag | Top on my Christmas Wish List

I’m in love with the Givenchy Antigona and I desperately want one for Christmas! I don’t care about the size – I’ll have a small, medium or large. I just have to have one.

The Cow Hide print one is what I’m currently lusting over.

I showed it to my dumb Zulu boyfriend as a super obvious hint at what I’d like for Christmas and all I got back was that he’s seen lots of cow hides like that at his father’s farm and if I really want a bag like that Ntate (father) can find someone to make one for me.

I’m still not talking to him.

I first saw the Antigona on the arm of a 13 year old girl walking out of Harrods in London. She was with three other 13 or 14 year olds and it just popped on her. You couldn’t avoid it even if you weren’t paying attention.

This kid had the Small Pink Givenchy Antigona on her arm while rocking some cut out jeans shorts, a t-shirt with that vampire guy from Twilight and some Converse high tops on life support.

I stopped her and asked her where she got it and she mumbled something about a store in Paris but happened to mention that I could probably get it at Harrods.

I ran into Harrods and was pointed to the Givenchy section where I saw a whole lot of them.

So I grabbed one and while inspecting it stumbled upon the price and damn near passed out.

This bag was €1,350/£1,125/$1,833/R18,833.

I had to sit down and catch my breath.

Why are 13 year olds walking around with £1000 bags?

Who are her parents and what kind of values are they teaching their child?

Had I met her again with her parents I would have kindly had a word because it is just unacceptable that a 13 year old girl should have a Givenchy bag and I can’t! (#sulking)

The best time to get one is of course when they’re on sale and even then they’re hella steep but will retail for $1200 on average.
