You know how you spend time looking for the best toys for your baby and you’re surprised at the reviews because they couldn’t possibly live up to the hype?  Well, these did, and they do! Here’s a short selection of some of my daughter’s favourite toys.

1. Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes: After reading the reviews on this toy, my husband became obsessed and had to get it!  And did not disappoint.  This toy is a dream! My kid loves to dance and walks around and plays it whenever she feels the urge to boogie. It has about 4 different tunes and even kids over 5 seem to gravitate towards it.

2. Sophie: Yes, Sophie’s a little pricey, but we got it as a gift-shout out to Aunty Chama 🙂 But really, it’s a delight.  I know, it’s been pretty hyped up all over amazon et. al but it’s squeaky ability always makes my kid smile. It’s our incase of emergency toy.

3. The V-Tech learning walker:  The sounds and sing-a-long from the barnyard are catchy and fun. Also helped my kid when she started walking. She plays with it every.single.day!

4. The FisherPrice Bouncer: The one below is not the one we have but is close, though mine is better  😛  The speckled frog tune is charming and keeps the kid occupied.  When my daughter literally almost tossed herself out of this thing bouncing herself like crazy!  So be sure to use the strap to fasten your little one in! We never used the vibration ’cause it was just weird and she didn’t seem to enjoy it. Her solution…she learnt to bounce herself! Now that she’s too big for it she still goes back every now and again to play the speckled frog tune, and dances of course :-).

5. Rattles: We have one that’s shaped like a tambourine (with beads inside), a cow bell and one with winnie the pooh embellishments, as well as the Hungry Caterpillar (shout out to Aunty Shaq). My kid loves anything that shakes, including medicine bottles. I didn’t say that.

6. V-Tech Story Time Rhymes:  Who doesn’t love nursery rhymes? I’m certain your kid will enjoy this especially when they figure out how to press the sun so it keeps playing.
