Melodie Monrose is tres belle!

Melodie Monrose’s modelling career took off without a hitch and the French beauty has not looked back.

Not many models get scouted, are off to NYC within days and get signed on the spot! But not many models are Melodie.  In 2010 she was on everyone’s hit list as the newcomer to watch and she did not disappoint.  She literally hit the ground running and shined at 49 shows during her first season for such designers as Lanvin, Marc Jacobs (whom she adores) and Yves Saint Laurent.  She’s not a model that complains, despite the uncomfortable shoes during the Lanvin show, she took on the job like a trooper and worked that runway.

She has a Canadian connection being mentored by the master poser herself Coco Rocha,  whom she describes as a “very good teacher”.  Her dream is to model for Givenchy and she is enamoured by John Galliano’s Dior creations.

The Martinique beauty feels most comfortable with all things French and decided to reside in Paris (when not working in NYC) where she is also studying communications.  If she wasn’t a model she’d opt for a career in journalism or designing.

When not working she enjoys shopping, going to the movies and hanging out with her friends.  She definitely busts the myth that models don’t eat or rather don’t eat whatever they want.  She enjoys going to restaurants and sites cinnamon rolls and chocolate cake as her guilty pleasure as well as TAO in New York’s desserts.  I think she and I could hang ’cause I love me some sweet treats!
