Crop tops are a tricky garment. To show belly button or not to show belly button, that is the question.
I used to own a crop top or two during my hey day trying to be a fourth member of TLC. The look went like this: white crop top, boyfriend (see: very baggy jeans) and Timberlands. I was pretty cool back then.
I remember my mum expressing her disdain for my showing my belly and so they became a substitute for a vest underneath my school shirt. I pulled it out in my final year of secondary school on a school trip for one last bruhaha, then we parted ways.
I’ve been seeing them around on runways and on celebs but maybe I’m aging myself or maybe its my post baby belly protruding, but I’m a little nervous about getting back together with the crop top.
I’d definitely choose the ‘not to show belly button’ option, but other than that I think crop tops are pretty cute if rocked the right way.
So I’m going to commit to my Zumba work out with the hopes that I can werk this into my wardrobe this summer. Wish me luck!
Would or do you rock a crop top?
Which of these options do you fancy? I’m digging Nicole Richie, JLaw and the cutie after her in the stripped red and blue.
