The captivating Arlenis Sosa

If you pay attention to runway shows or clothing ads like I do, you’ll see a Dominican beauty strutting her stuff and whose gaze you won’t soon forget.

Her name is Arlenis Sosa.

The 25 year old beauty’s career path is similar to my girl Nyasha Matonhodze.  She participated in Elite Model Look and was signed on the spot by Marilyn Models in New York.  The rest, is herstory.

Who hasn’t Arlenis walked for? Don’t think any designer has been so lax as to pass her up in one of their shows. I will tell you wasn’t neligent with booking Ms Sosa: Zac Posen, Jean Paul Gaultier, Ralph Lauren, Jason Wu, Oscar de la Renta, Alexander Wang and Badley Mischka to name a few.

Where can you see Arlenis in all her glory?  She’s ripped the runway at Victorias Secret, done ads for H&M, Topshop, Express, Gap and recently Banana Republic. But my personal favourite is that like my girl Lupita, she’s a spokesmodel for Lancome.

Oh! Did I mention that we have a Canadian connection? She was one of the models in Joe Fresh’s Fall campaign (in 2012)!

Her passion for philanthrophy has been realized as the founder of her namesake foundation for juvenile diabetes in her native land.

Arlenis is proud to call fellow models Chanel Iman and Jourdan Dunn friends and is living her life like its golden! Bravo Ms Sosa!
