Carrie would not be calling Sarah Jessica Parker’s shoe collection her lover…

Attention Sex and The City Fans…remember when Carrie walked past that shoe store and said “hello lover” to that pair in the window?

Well, you won’t be doing the same when you see Sarah Jessica Parker (SJP)’s new collection.

I remember getting pretty excited a few years back when SJP released her affordable line Bitten (if my memory serves me well) complete with shoes and accessories.  My BFF bought me a cute pair of patent open-toe black kitten heels for a crazy price of under $20! Cute and a steal!

I had the same feeling when I found out she’s releasing an entire shoe collection.  After flipping through the look book this is all I have to say: Womp, womp, womp…and from what I’ve seen others agree with me.

The collection is meh…mediocre at best, very mediocre.  The fact that they’re being sold at Nordstrom (beginning Feb 28) and starting around $195 is as Samantha (Jones) would say RIDICULOUS.  You could get the same or even better finds at The Shoe Company, Payless or Winners for way less.

I have to admit I had a high expectation simply because SJP and the shoeaholic character are kindered spirits.

We can, however, expect to see similar types of styles that Carrie would wear or gravitate towards. Another positive is the range of colours that are just in time for Spring.  If I were to pick a pair, I’d probably go with the white open-toe wedges. And maybe the violet multicoloured strappy heels (below).
